香りを通して人の感情、機微に触れることはできるだろうか？

楽しいけれど何だか悲しい。

怒ってるのに、愛おしい。

 

感情は、その人自身でも気付かないほどに繊細で

複雑に折り重なる

それらは一瞬に立ち現れては、消えていく。

わずかな跡を残してとどまるその残り香を私たちは

空間を通して他者と共有している。

 

香りは環境を作る。

その環境が空間を作り、そこに私たちが存在している。

 

本作品は、そんな言葉では一律に表せない感情の要素を香りと対応付け、図・立体・香水により統合的に表現することでコミュニケーションの手段とできないか、という研究である。

Is it possible to touch the subtleties of human emotions through fragrance?

 

Delightful, but somewhat sad.

Getting angry, but still feeling lovely.

 

This work is an attempt to create a new communication tool using fragrance, that enables us to express such subtle emotions that cannot

be expressed uniformly by words,

By connecting elements of emotion with fragrance, and express them integratedly by diagram / objects / perfume.

 

Emotions are so subtle that we cannot tell it by ourselves, and makes layers delicate and complicated.

They appear in a moment, and then, disappear.

Wonder if we share the lingering scent remains with a few traces, with others, through space.

 

Scent establishes atmosphere.

Atmosphere establishes space, where we exist.

 

Tangible things, visible things.

There is something that exists beyond them.

We design, to grasp something we cannot see.
